Dave Murphy Band

If you're ready to rock - get ready for the Dave Murphy Band!

Formed by keyboardist and vocalist Dave Murphy in 1993, the band has entertained constantly ever since, having performed over 3000 times!  The band is renown for their musical ability and versatility, excelling in a wide range of styles including rock, blues, soul, funk and R & B.

Dave first honed his musical chops during a five year stint as a member of Ronnie Hawkins' band The Hawks.  Since that time Dave has performed with a wide range of other artists including the late, great Jeff Healey during the last five years of his tragically short career.

As bandleader of the house band at Healey’s Toronto nightclub, Dave hosted weekly performances with Jeff and a wonderful array of special guests like Edgar Winter, Ray Benson, Steve Lukather and Randy Bachman. Dave also toured worldwide with the Jeff Healey Blues Band, which Jeff affectionately referred to as "the best damned bar band in Canada."

As musical director of a tribute concert honoring Healey, Dave performed alongside the likes of Ian Gillan, Colin James and Jack Bruce.

He is a winner of Maple Blues Keyboardist of the Year.  With his own band Dave has performed in almost every setting imaginable, from opening for James Brown to performing for Queen Elizabeth.

This band loves to play and it shows, so be ready for a good time and some great music with the Dave Murphy Band.

Fleetwood Nicks

Fleetwood Nicks is a Toronto-based Stevie Nicks Fleetwood Mac Tribute Act.

Exploring material from Rumors to Stevie's solo work to Tom Petty/Stevie Nicks hits as well. This is not a clone band but you will have a hard time telling this because of the likeness between Anna & Stevie.

This show exudes Stevie's mystique and charm in a stunning recreation of one of the world’s most popular groups of the 70's and one that plays an important part of rock history. When Anna Leeming portrays Stevie Nicks, Anna captures that look and sound and the soul of Stevie Nicks.

When Anna takes the stage as Stevie Nicks the sound the look the mystical atmosphere is suddenly there Anna pours her heart out in every performance it is truly magical along with Connie Scnver who portrays Christine McVie. Her rendition of Song Bird you will agree.  She is truly born to play this role.

Fleetwood Nicks portrays Fleetwood Mac with a incredible authenticity. Back by seasoned professionals, it is definitely a show you will not want to miss.

The Carpet Frogs

Toronto’s best known party band started in 1993 when seminal jam band Ground Zero teamed up with Just Alice front man Nick Sinopoli for gigs to fill the nights when GZ wasn’t hosting the infamous Sunday night jam at Toronto’s legendary Lee’s Palace. Sinopoli mentioned The Carpet Frogs’ existence to Canadian rocker
Greg Godovitz (GODDO) who, after seeing them one night on his way home from a gig, did whatever he could to wrangle his way into the band.

Greg’s tenure with The Frogs lasted until 1996 and produced their sophomore release FROG CURRY that charted nationally and garnered a US distribution deal with the now defunct Permanent Press.

The Frogs appeared in US venues in the northeast in support of the release and received glowing reviews from publications like GOLDMINE and ABSOLUTELY INDIE.

The Carpet Frogs were nominated for Central Canada Independent Artist Of The Year at Canada’s 1995 Rock Awards in Toronto. The same year, they were nominated for Best Independent Act at the Q107 Rock Awards in Toronto.

In addition to being arguably the most in-demand band on the Toronto corporate circuit for more than a decade, The Carpet Frogs have performed for every organization from the Chartered Accountants’ Institute to the Young Presidents’ Organization. On occasion, The Frogs have been the band behind Ottawa-born blues-rocker PAT TRAVERS and multi-JUNO award winner TOM COCHRANE.

In 1998, they hooked up with Canadian Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame Member BURTON CUMMINGS after an impromptu jam at a local Toronto pub and became The Burton Cummings Band. The Frogs have since accompanied Burton to Winnipeg, Vancouver, Hawaii, Texas, and New York and appeared with him at the 1999-2000 millennium New Years’ Eve national CTV broadcast in Winnipeg and at the opening of the Burton Cummings Theatre in Winnipeg in 2003.

The Frogs’ second release, EVERYTHING IS BEAUTIFUL, was recorded in 2003 and still continues to sell. As of this writing, their third independent CD release, PRETENDING TO FLY, is in the can and is eagerly awaited by Frog fans everywhere.

2005 turned out to be a banner year for The Frogs which saw them accompanying Canadian Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame Member and multi-million selling artist RANDY BACHMAN, along with Burton Cummings, as Randy and Burton were inducted into the Canadian Songwriters’ Hall Of Fame in Toronto, the nationally-televised 2005 JUNO Awards in Winnipeg with Randy and Burton, and an appearance at the worldwide broadcast of LIVE 8 in Barrie, ON with Randy
that was included on the DVD of the concert.

In 2006, The Carpet Frogs became The Bachman Cummings Band and performed with Randy and Burton on their nationally televised CBC special and DVDBachman Cummings: First Time Around” and accompanied the two Canadian rock icons on a 17 city Canadian tour to rave reviews and was recorded for DVD to be released in the fall of 2006.
